Along the MacDonnell Street boundary and immediately adjacent to the open-air performance area, are a number of very large and mature trees including a Bayur tree Pterospermum acerifolium, a multi-trunked mock orange Murraya exotica, a Cassia javanica, and a multi-trunked Tar tree.
The forest types include tropical semi-evergreen forests along the lower plains and foothills dominated by Kari " Polyalthia simiarum ", Hatipehala " Pterospermum acerifolium ", Karibadam " Sterculia alata ", Paroli " Stereospermum chelonioides ", " Ailanthus grandis " and Khokun " Duabanga grandiflora ".
